I saw these beautiful flowers in a conservatory at Seattle’s Volunteer Park. Aside from the natural beauty of the blossoms and their composition, I was struck by the way the array of whites resolve themselves into many different colors that are not quite white — pale lilacs and pinks and greys in a dozen different hues.
